IICRC Certification Renewal
The IICRC issues certifications to individuals after attending a certification course with an IICRC-approved school and passing the corresponding exam. These certifications are non-transferable and are not issued to businesses.
IICRC Certification Renewal
IICRC-certified technicians must renew their certification(s) to keep them active. There are two steps to renew your certifications.
1. Pay the yearly renewal fee to the IICRC
The IICRC will send you an invoice each year to pay the renewal fee.
2. Earn 14 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every four years
Complete 14 CECs every four years. 1 CEC is equal to 1 hour of learning. You can earn your CECs through additional IICRC certification courses, self-paced courses, or industry events. You can earn these CECs throughout the 4 year renewal period
Note: If you have an IICRC Master Designation or have an IICRC Inspector Certification, you must earn 14 CECs every two years.
